The idea is to clear any memory settings (like FSB speed) that might still
be affecting you even with the new ram installed. But all you need to do is
check it out with whatever utility you prefer to see if the memory's running
at the proper speed and timings. If so, then that's one less thing to worry
about causing you problems, and even if it doesn't solve your chop in some
games, it'll help everything else run like it should.
