Yeah be firm with them when you tell them its not acceptable. I worked at a
VW dealership for many years & searched for many a noise. Its a new car &
shouldn't be making any noises. If they don't help you contact VW customer
service & tell them you are satisfied with this service. VW has a special
insulating kit specifically made for getting rid of noises.

There's a small fluttery vibration from the headliner around the center
console. It's not loud, but it's clearly audible unless the stereo is on.
It's gotten a little worse (more frequent) since I've had the car. If I
tap on the console the right way I can create the sound.
Service took the console apart, and everything is fine. I'm told that the
cause is the headliner vibrating against some plastic spacer-type part(s)
on the roof interior, and that there's no fix. Anyone familiar w/ this?
And is there a solution? Can I shove some foam in there somewhere?
