On mine I notice that the RPM and speed aren't quite parallel but consistent
in 5th gear; at 50mph the tach reads 2500, 60 = 3k, 80 = 4k, etc. I'll
notice a difference between the tach and speed if I use cheap gas or there's
a strong head or tail wind.
