This is further scuttle to back up the many rumors that the 2010
Mustang will debut with a new 5.0 liter V8. While this may not be
breaking news, it backs up what we have been hearing. The news that
the engine is going to be used in more vehicles than initially planned
is also alluring. Besides the F-Series and the Mustang, what other
vehicles would be used for this engine?

look to japan for low cost of production and high user satisfaction.
need 4 valves per cylinder
Ford has already cast some 5 litre modular iron blocks in the 4.6L
deck height. Probably the last castings out of Windsor before it
closed. (no pushrods) The blocks are available through FRPP
as the Boss5.0 block. Presumably, if the 5L size makes it into
production, it'll be aluminum and 3V. It might also be used in
Crown Vics, (taxi, police) SUVs and a Lincoln.
