That reminds me.... if they really want to save the SS system.... just
raise the age to qualify for SS to 105 (110 for full bennies).

To bad we can't return to a simpler time in history when the average
person didn't live to see 40.

Sheeeit boy, that would put me a dozen over the hill already and I'm
still paying in.

On top of that I get all this *** about being a smoker. Doesn't
anyone realize I'm just doing my part to help with the SS crisis, not
to mention all the damn taxes I pay on the freakin things.

Christ on a crutch, if everyone gave up their bad habits like they
want us to, nobody would ever die.

Don't feel alone... I'd be long gone myself.

Consider that the majority of the worlds ills; from global warming to
coming ice age (whichever way Al Gore wants to lean for cash), to
wars, starvation, disease, etc, is compounded by the world population.
More and more people live longer lives so the birth rate out performs
the deathrate. And then they want to stop smokers, make kids wear
helmets, mandate seatbelt use, force motorcyclists to wear helmets
(what do turbans do about that one?), to help people survive longer.
The world will become, if something serious doesn't happen soon, so
crowded that either you'll live longer but in worse conditions, or the
crowding will begion killing people off. Nature's balance.

Truer words have never been spoken. I have absolutely no idea how I
made it out of childhood without a bike helmet, knee pads, or a
carseat.

Must have been just plain dumb luck. Lets see, all the toes on one
foot broke, a thumb broken, three ribs broken, both arms broken, skull
fracture, tail bone fractures, shoulder sewn up, forearm sewn up,
three operations, and that was just getting out of bed for school.
Just kidding. Sports, bicycle, home made coaster, cardboard boxes
sliding down the dry grass hillsides..... lots of road rashes. Hell,
kids today are missing out on a lot of scars to brag about except the
blisters on their game controller thumbs.... OK, there are the BMX
bikers and the skateboarders..... :0)
