Turnsignal - never saw before

Dyslexia! People here actuate their blinkers whey they're going straight but don't use them when they are turning/changing lanes.

I was making a left turn across a 4-lane state road, into a store parking lot a few hundred feet shy of a controlled intersection, and approaching from 1/4 mile away was a mercedes with his left turn signal blinking. So figuring he was turning left at said major intersection, I got into the shared turn lane, actuated my blinker, and proceeded to turn into that store.

I got an EAR-FULL OF HORN - that Mercedes was bearing down on me, left blinker still on!! I punched my accelerator and completed my left-turn on two wheels! WTF is wrong with drivers in this country? Is it the fluoride in the water supply? The mercury in his fillings??
