Anyways, my last adventure of the day was in the evening after dark
and as I was on US17 South apporaching the bridge, Herr Trooper had
just finished up with his last victim and after I passed the area,
he did a u-turn and subsequently was pacing me at about 200ft or so
- he in the left lane, me in the proper right lane.
the officer was trying to stay in a blind spot and unnoticed;probably
hoping the OP would speed up,thinking he was well past the speed
trap.
That's stupid and unsafe, especially at night.
police do a lot of things that are stupid and unsafe..... ;-)
Which is yet another incentive to stand and applaud whenever one goes
down "in the line of duty."
that's sick.
Why? "Citizens" are not treated by the same rules as "cops" are; a lot
of the activities that get citizens ticketed or arrested are ignored
by police when they engage in the same activities. You screw up on the
paper work? It's your responsibility to fix it. They screw up on the
paper work? It's still your responsibility to fix it.
Those organizations REALLY need to focus within themselves before they
start looking to the citizenry for respect. Anyone who offers that
respect unearned is a fool.
