I'm sorry, losing our liberty isn't worth your illusion of security.

If there is any "loss of liberty", it is in losing the right to drive in an
illegal manner that may affect more than just the motor vehicle operator.
Driving a motor vehicle is not a right--those who pass the required exams
and sign the papers to obtain the license to drive are also signing an
agreement that they will obey the laws as they pertain to driving. Failure
to obey those laws can result in a citiation or an arrest, depending on what
specific law violation(s) occurred.

Also, keeping in mind that some of The People *made* DUI laws happen
initially, by consuming sufficient alcohol to be impaired and then having a
collision that resulted in property damage, personal injury, or loss of
life; keeping in mind that uninsured drivers having collisions *made* the
mandatory insurance laws happen, so that some amount of financial
responsibility for a collision exists for all drivers; keeping in mind that
drivers losing control of their vehicle and getting ejected from the
vehicles in a collision *made* seatbelt laws mandatory... it's clear to me
that a significant number of The People *made* the government enact these
laws.
