So I'm travelling I-90 /NY thruway today, and traffic is pretty light,
maybe due to the shitty weather. But the rain didn't bother me much,
so I'm making pretty good time, I'm in the right lane, got the cruise
control set on 70, eating up miles but not in a hurry. I catch up to
(note: I catch up to) a large pack of traffic filling both lanes, so
take it off cruise for several miles. Lots of weaving, lane-changing,
etc. going on. Lots of frustrated drivers trying to break out of the
mess. Up front is a red corvette with cruise control set about 67ish
(in a 65). In the LEFT lane, of course. Several people pass him on
the right, but right lane traffic isn't going much faster, so this
takes a long time. Thus the backup. At one point, traffic was stuck
behind this corvette backed up probably a half mile or better. While
I was stuck in this mess, we passed several signs reading "Keep Right
Except to Pass". Finally got close enough to read the plate, it was
vanity plate "ANOMALY". Nope, sorry buddy, you're just an average
MFFY, nothing out of the ordinary. -Dave




Did NY's Safety Nazis finally raise their Interstate speed limit over
55mph? Holy Moly!


It would be really nice if TV stations did some public service ads about
LLBing and how it makes driving less safe.(and F...s-up traffic)
You'd think DOT would fund them,if they were really concerned with safety
and traffic flow. (I know,Utopian dreaming...)
