I am replying to this because I nate responded to it. My opinions on
here have been stable for YEARS. In a couple of cases I have
changed my opinion based upon sound, reasonable arguments made by others
that I then tested myself. However none of these have occured since you
wandered in here. So, I suggest you provide the posts via the google
archive, which has all my posts going back more than a decade and prove
it. You up to the task, ***?
Cases in point: Brent has reported that he doesn't use his turn signal
because other drivers will use it in offensive manuevers against him.
In this post, he complains another driver failed to signal.
Outright slander. I have stated nothing of the kind and in fact argued
countless times that reasoning you give above is total bull***. I use
turn signals 99.99999999999% of the time. that remaining portion that I
don't is in emergency manuvers, although I usually signal evasive moves
as well. So, If you believe otherwise, cite it. Google groups. Provide
the url ***.
I don't believe Joan Claybrook, or "people like her", believed poor
lane disipline made driving safer. And, if so, I don't believe that's
common knowledge. When you make such a ridiculous statement, I feel a
cite is in order.
I've cited it several times over the years, use google groups. It's in
"American Autobahn" by Mark Rask.
When he frequently uses velocity differential studies to determine
"sloths" observing speed limits increase the danger of driving and
cause crashes, and in this post does an about-face and says the
differential "isn't really the problem"... my idiot detector goes off
and I feel compelled to reply.
I've never argued velocity differential causes crashes. In fact I argue
the exact opposite, consistantly since 1999 when I went to Germany and
saw 2CVs and old VW beetles and high powered sports cars sharing the same
road safely at velocities one would think each would be driven at.
When he opines that "underposted limits encourage poor driver behavior
as was documented"... I wonder what document. To me, it's the
equivalent of saying "x law encourages x law violation" which could
only be the opinion of an imbecile. No such document exists.
That's not a direct quote and you fucking know it, troll. Again, I want
a cite, with the google groups link. You can't do it, you can't do it
for any of this and you won't because you're just a fucking troll who
likes to sit back snipe.
So, if you don't like it, give me a plonk, or we can argue about it, or
you can examine his "facts" with a more guarded eye. If I were you I
wouldn't state on usenet that everything Brent said can be
substantiated.
There's a world of difference between what I wrote and what you read.
It's not my fault you exist for the sole purpose of trolling this group.
I kill filed you for a reason. If you can muster up the evidence to show
that your statements aren't slander you have my email. But you won't
because you can't, because it doesn't exist.
