I commute to a job in Sparks, MD (north of Hunt Valley, MD) which is
not accessible via public transportation.
The overwhelming, vast majority of jobs in the country are like that, in spite
of what the public transportation cheerleaders say...
I do not own a car.
There is a cure for that. Buy one. Can be solved this weekend. Md. doesn't
have an inspection program, so it doesn't have to be pristene - IOW, no holes
in the bodywork, stuff like that. Go to an auto auction if you want to take a
little more time.
Actually it does, and it's the strictest I've ever seen.
Oops, sorry for the insinformation, then. Yeah, I guess I've heard about it,
come to think of it. But my buddy doesn't have to have his car done every
year, that's why I thought there was none.
It seems to
be designed to keep people from buying used cars, as it is so strict
that it's near impossible to pass unless you have a new car. I have
only taken one used car through that didn't fail the first time around.
It's a total crock of ***, too, as it only needs to be done once, at
the time of purchase, and never again - so if you already have a car,
you can let it disintegrate into a total POS and you can continue to
drive it, totally legally, until it gets SO bad that you get pulled
over by a cop for pieces falling off.
Wonderful.
It'll be good to go back to Indiana, where there's no inspections.
The
employment agency that arranged this job for me is also providing the
transportation to and from the work site. So if I decide to forego
riding in the van with this individual at the wheel, I also then have
to forego working at this job at this particular worksite.
What's more important, THAT particular job, or your life?
In fact, I
currently am looking for another work assignment with other employment
agencies, as this work assignment will probably last only about three
more weeks, if that long.
3 more weeks? Get a motel up there...
So the problem, for me at least, will clear itself up in three weeks,
when the assignment ends.
But this guy will still be driving others to other work assignments for
this employment agency.
Call the cops and get him tailed and nailed if he keeps screwing up?
I don't see that he's screwing up at all,
Well, the red light might have been a problem.
Dave Head
he's just driving in the.
manner required to get anywhere around here. Like I said, the REAL
solution is a STKR/KRETP law combined with enforcement. Very, very
rarely is the driver passing on the right the actual problem.
