Hi:
In Maryland, what are the rules about "passing on the right"?
If on an Interstate highway in Maryland, a driver in the left hand lane
is moving along close to the speed limit, what are the regulations
concerning this driver abruptly moving over to the right hand lane,
exceeding the speed limit, passing the slower moving vehicle (and
exceeding the speed limit while doing so), then cruising along a bit in
the right hand lane and then abruptly shifting back to the left hand
lane in front of the car he just passed. When I indicate that the
driver exceeded the speed limit to pass, I mean that he is traveling
approximately 75mph while passing on the right.
Given the above scenario, what/how many driving regulations have the
driver violated?
One. The driver in the left lane is violating the law by not KRETP.
Not only can he be fined, and lose his license, but all of respected
society will shun him for being a clueless retarded excuse for a
driver.
