These are customary names, not descriptions open to re-interpretation by
the musings of pedants.
** The PEDANT is YOU - FUCKWIT !!!
" Brushless DC " is a name used in *commerce* ( coined by the Japanese )
for class of electric motor of relatively recent origin that consists of a
synchronous motor WITH either integral or external electronic drive
circuits - such circuits permitting operation of the motor from a DC
supply.
The electronic circuits used vary from simple types with no speed regulation
to ones with precise internal or external speed control.
The latter kind turned up in hi-fi TTs in the 1970s under the title " Direct
Drive " - ie motors which ran at 33.3 and 45 rpms with fine adjustment
and where the platter simply sat on the output shaft.
Which is what we were discussing before YOU stuck you stupid pointy head
in and tried to play the world's biggest fucking smart arse yet again
You are a low, stupid douche bag, Phil Allison.
