Hmm, maybe hardly any of the older crew here
have pics of the first amps they made maybe in 1962.
Or even earlier:-) I went to a boarding school in
England We had a radio club, and used to build
simple tube receivers on the evenings, using biscuit
tins for chassis. The physics master, Major Briggs
had been an officer in the Royal Corps of Signals,
and used to supervise our projects.
Most of my later serious efforts were dismantled
to provide parts for the next ongoing piece of audio
magic.

It was (and still is) a very musical PP EL34 UL amp which
still pleases me very much.
