If a tube sounds good in your circuit, it is fine.
Other considerations are of no import.
I might agree, but then some of us like to measure the tube we might use
and ensure it is noise free and is not microphonic, and has no other
major technical defects,
thus allowing it to operate properly with the right load and give us the
music we want.
Some of us like to get the numbers right first, then sit back and enjoy,
all without being obsessive about the numbers, which can vary a bit
around a design
centre as still allow music....
