If you only need a 50MHz scope the 2225 would be fine.
If you want to look at signals 10 MHz and down a 50 MHz scope will be
fine. You want _five times_ the bandwidth of the highest signal of
interest in a scope.
But if you are buying such a Tek scope don't pay much for one. They
are all on borrowed time as there are no more of many parts. Neither
Tek nor anyone else will make more.
**Tell the WHOLE story. Points:
* Many analogue Tek 'scopes use standard components.
* Tek 'scopes tend to be VASTLY more reliable than most other brands. I
know. I own several. The oldest dates back to 1964 and uses Nuvistors. None
have missed a beat. I also own several other brands of 'scopes. All, except
the Teks, have noisy switches and pots.
