As for the MC30 those are not actually 6L6s-they are a 1619 as I
recall, a metal tube more or less interchangeable with a glass 6L6.
They are uprated from a prewar metal 6L6.
1614 --- good point Brett, I never knew the tube actually had higher ratings,
as I haven't actually owned an MC-30, but a TDSL search on the 1614 reveals it
is indeed a different animal from a metal 6L6, with significantly higher
ratings.
