Metal 6L6s should be used nowhere in commercially built postwar audio
equipment as they will be short lived, their dissipation ratings are
exceeded by most any design. Give them or sell them to the antique
radio ore vintage style ham radio guys.
They will work just fine if the amp is properly de-rated. Given that
some tubies will use about anything in anything, you should understand
this much, at least.
