Point 1: We are talking about a "Guarantee", not a "warranty". there is a difference.

Wow,
I am enjoying all these responses. I always thought lifetime, meant just that, lifetime, last forever, which we know nothing last forever. If these tubes were installed in a tube amp and they test weak, well, the tubes should be replaced since the amp is still in use. Just my opinion. I might bring a pair of 7199's to Radio Shack (they were leaky, but I didn't test them in a working amp).
