The 6SS7 is the octal equivalent to the loctal 7B7. And the 6BJ6 is a
miniature version, but with twice the G. But it is odd to find these in
audio equipment since all are remote cutoff. The sharp cut off 7AG7
would be a better direct plug-in choice.
The miniature 6BH6 would be OK for audio while keeping heater power low
as is the 7B7. But it too is about double the G of the 7B7.
