The design quality and implementation of the audio equipment power supply
and any ac power line filtering ( if present ) typically determines the
effect of powerline noise ( transients etc ) on operation.
The circuit deign itself can have quite an influence too. In short it's
down to design competence *not* toobs vs silicon at all in any way.
