Killjoy:
That property is given to an individual by the weak of will, not a a
power that any individual might have. Most directly applicable to a
venue such as this one. If one chooses to *not* build a tube amp on the
say-so of any indivdual, then one is simply an impressionable
individual who will wander along until crossing a stronger-willed
person and then does as told by that person. Until the next one, and
the next one. Usually, these sorts of sheep are called "believers".
Killjoys, by definition, are quite fixed in their intention and usually
anything but misguided. To do what they do is not only highly
opportunistic, but as a deliberate act of will is usually quite clever
as it is tailored towards what brings joy, not any belief or system of
beliefs. Killjoys are much like Oxford-Rules debators... they will
opine on any given subject as a means towards their peculiar end.
But, we live in a country where a man is free... even to make an idiot
of himself if that is his goal.
