Hello -
I want to re-record some CDs onto audio tape for my car (old car - no CD
player possible). The problem is that the dynamic range of CDs is much
greater than tape, making a straight copy tough because of resulting
distortion. Does anyone know if a dynamic range compressor is available?
(It would go in the line between the CD or Rx output and the tape input.)
Google has not been helpful.
Reply by email would be great.
Thanks,
Dan
ANY car with a functioning cassette player can play CDs through either the radio (RF modulator and portable CD player), or with a cassette adapter.
Dubbing CD to cassette is simple. Just do it. Your results will be good enough. Dynamic range is not the issue that you imagine.
