The old Pioneer DV-505 I had only played a very few brands of CDR:s,
due to having a single wavelength laser. It would play CD-RW:s with no
problems as DVD:s and CD-RW:s normally use the same type of laser.
The 505 wouold play some very light blue or green CDR:s, but none of
the older darker CDR:s.
