Context probably matters as to which term we use. Most people here would just say "balanced" but that doesn't necessarily mean that both sides are driven. Inputs are properly differential but most people say "balanced" if there's two wires, neither of which is ground/shield. If we wer talk about a "bipolar" output, nobody would know what we were talking about.
I guess it might as well all be "balanced." That leaves is an out if we want to write a few paragraphs about impedances and common modes.
