Personally, I view a one-size-fits-all voicing for pop/rock & jazz as
probably suiting neither genre well. A jazz voicing, to my ear, needs
to be a lot darker than for pop or rock, yet brighter than a classical
voicing. Unless you're talking about "Smooth" jazz, which isn't really
jazz at all.
