does it have a speaker?
is the hum comming form the speaker?

Mark

No speaker. I'm not interested in any monitors with built-in speakers.
While I'm at it, I might as well clarify that the noise IS coming from the
lcd-monitor, it's not induced noise into my speaker-monitors.
Probably the backlight inverter. When LED backlights become a widely
available option, they will provide a silent alternative.

But if it's a multiple of 60 Hz, it's the LCD driver circuitry. I haven't
heard this kind of noise, so I can't comment.
