What do you mean by reflectively inductive?

If you load an inductor with nothing and apply current until steady-state
current flow is achieved then:

- if you load it with nothing, when you open the circuit, the voltage
across it will increase until there is some insulation break down and then
the energy stored in the inductor will be dissipated very rapidly.

- if you load it with a high resistance, when you open the circuit the
voltage across it will increase until the energy stored in the inductor is
dissipated rapidly.

- if you load it with a low resistance, when you open the circuit the
voltage across it will increase until the energy stored in the inductor is
dissipated more slowly.
