They are responsible for their own monitoring and like to hear
themselves loudly. They're right in front of the audience so that
doesn't help. Our singers are not loud.

Musicians can get over-enthusiastic, but they rarely actually WANT to
sabotage the performance! Can one of your test recordings be used to
demonstrate to them and the director how much too loud they are?
