Behringer UBB1002 Eurorack - pls help

I just purchased the Behringer UBB1002 Eurorack. I have tested two
mics on the mixer/console. The mixer was then connected to my
computer sound card.

On two separate test with two different mic, I noticed that I had to
turn the volume/db pot up all the way to get a nice even sound. The
great thing was that there was no clipping, but I wondered why I had
to turn the sound up so much.

Before I got the mixer, I had an old radio shack mixer that I used to
use with the very same mics. There was never an issue with volume.
Even with the pots turned up to 4-5, it was plenty loud, but with the
Behringer it seems like I have to almost crank up the dB to hear it at
a normal level.

Is this a problem with the Behringer or maybe a bad mixer?

Thanks
.
