I am looking to change the tubes in my Gold MPA. I have heard that
with the right tubes it really improves the performance of the

Does anyone have any suggestions to what tubes should be considered?
The problem with these things is they are not running the tubes anywhere
near their proper operating voltages... so I can tell you what tubes will
be more linear in a normal circuit, but that doesn't tell you what they
will do in the effects stage of the ART.
If you're going to do swapping, I'd start with the JJ tubes and maybe the
Sovtek from the Reflector factory in Russia. Neither one should be expensive
and both are much better quality than the originals in the ART. But because
the ART runs the tube way out of the normal envelope, I am not going to hazard
a guess as to what they do.
