I need to record messages from field agents for an audio program I'm

They will leave these on voicemail, and I have a porta-DAT (still
works!) that would interface with the Rolls P19. I can then assemble
the program on my protools rig. Does anyone have any experience with
this box as far as audio quality? I'm on a tight budget and the price
(about $40 before shipping)
is in the ballpark. Any info would be appreciated.

splice this! audio
No matter how bad the Rolls (not saying it's bad), it's not likely to
compromise the quality of a telephone call. 4KHz bandwidth, at some stage
likely 8 bit PCM.
