If I understand this correctly, it is saying: Ripping a CD an put it
in a folder shared with your wife is illegal.
You don't understand this correct, the folder was shared on Kazaa. The not
so subtle point the lawyer is trying to make is that he implies that it was
shared so as to have access to pornography that other people have shared on
that same network so as to ensure a tasty bit of defamation and to outline
the defendant as "the scoundrel he is".
However foolish the RIAA behaves then sharing copyrighted stuff on Kazaa is
to violate the license to it.
