Is there cable TV anywhere in or near the system?
thats a good question...
also:
1) does the volumne control and or tone control on the Rx effect the
noise?
2) Does unplugging the power to the TT effect the noise?
3) Does tuning the CD player on/off change the noise at all?
4) Does disconneting the phono cables from the TT to the Rx (but leave
the ground wire attached) effect the noise? Or if you remove the
ground wire also?
5) Is the noise on both L and R channels... the same?
6) Does moving any wire power audio speaker anywire at all, effect the
noise?
7) Can you connect a ground wire from the CD player to the Rx? Any
effect?
8) Does the Rx have an AM section? Move the tuning knob. Is there so
much noise in the AM tuner from the CD player that it is leaking into
the phono audio?
9) Did you try an aluminum foil hat like the guy in the other
thread? :-)
