I'm just looking at a local MKIV version of this recorder and was
surprised, from the specs, that OTARI seemed to have taken care of the
unbalanced issue, which is an extra selling point for me, especially
that I won't have to tinker with the cables to accommodate the strange
wiring that certain older OTARIs have. Do you have any idea why OTARI
went with this sort of strange configuration in the early models? TY.
