Agreed. When the good musicians are onstage or behind the
glass it's an easy gig. Place the microphones correctly and
let them do the rest. Edit/cleanup the heads and tails when
the session's over and let 'er rip.
THen there's these autotuned karaoke clowns. That and the
everything done with loops and samplers crowd that can't
actually play anything.
GIve me the real musicians any day that can actually play
their instruments. THey're a pleasnt gig. THe others are
oftentimes pure drudgery, but we live for those moments when
the magic happens, even when the money's short.
AT least that's my take on the whole thing.
