Here he states that "LPs contain close to 100-percent of the
uncompressed music information as originally recorded. CDs contain
only about half of that recorded information."

He also makes a number of other somewhat controversial statements in
this article but they they are not nearly so absurd.

I wonder how many of those vinyl LPs were recorded in digital studios at
44.1 KHz? In fact, if any stage of the process was digital (i.e.
mastering), his argument kinda falls apart.

Maybe even the kids are finally getting fed up with CDs that are
SQUASHED TO HE|| AND BACK VICTIMS OF THE LOUDNESS WAR.

They don't hear the same garbage comming out of LPs so they naturally
(incorrectly) assume there is a problem with CD technology.

--Yes. I hope that young folks start to realize that they have ears,
too :) Compared to a vinly record, CDs are often slammed to an extent
of being totally unworthy to have and listen to. This is what
production people _have_ to bear in their minds firstly. But not all
the records are cut with the same quality, nor are all CDs destroyed
by excessive compression and other neglects in process. Why not like
the both of the two worlds, digital and analog and why not to do the
utmost best at the either side of the process when digitizing an
analogue recording? --Take my word, a CD containing a digitized
analogue source _can_ sound far better than the original analogue
recording. This is why restoration is ment for. But this process
requires prudence first.

PS. For all who are active in 78 RPM transfers and feel that they
would require this, here is the link for AES 78 RPM test records.

I've ordered a pair.
