Where in the computer, or where in the operating system? If (a), watch
the POST messages as the computer boots up, before the operating system
starts. Unless you have it set to obscure those messages, you should
see some messages scroll by as the computer recognizes the hardware.
You might also be able to see some info when you go into the BIOS
setup.

If (b), look in the hardware manager. You don't say what operation
system, so I can't tell you exactly where that is, but with most
versions of Windows, it's accessible in the Control Panel.

2) Windows XP : reinstall using the custom option or run default
installation , but remove offensive items/programs ?. It will be
a dedicated music computer .

Either way. It doesn't matter. You can add/remove Windows components at
any time in the Control Panel.
