Yes, the top end was not very detailed. Again, this could well have been
room issue.soundfield
I'd be curious how it was made... if it was made with a single mike pair,
the vocalist was WAY up front. If the vocalist was spotted, it would have
explained the smeariness, but the odd movement of the vocals in the
makes me think that wasn't the case. What was it?
Who was the engineer? A lot of Emma Kirkby recordings were made with
what's-his-name's "phased array" -- parallel figure-8s. (Sorry for the
memory blank - late night, good party.)
