Awhile back there were a couple of threads about Behringer and it's

I'v mentioned a few times that I was in the process of purchasing a Carvin
PA and a Behringer mixer. The 2442FX arrived yesterday.
When I ordered it from MF they asked if I wanted to purchase thier extended
warrenty coverage because, sometimes, You cant return a product to the
manufacturer without first getting in touch with the reseller. I got the
extrat coverage. Turned out to be a good move because they state plainly in
thier docs that you should try to return it where you bought it before
trying yto get Behringer to fix the problem.
Not sure where you live, but in the US my practice is to return to
vendor if an item is broken upon arrival; after I've used it then the
warranty is with the manufacturer. The only piece of Berhinger
equipment I've ever had break, a little six channel mixer that lost
phantom power after about a year, the company was great about dealing
with. My email inquiry was responded to in less than 24 hours, an RMA
issued, and they sent me a new (and better model) mixer within a week.
It was actually one of the better customer services experiences I've
had in quite some time, and more than I expected from a budget gear
line.
