Awhile back there were a couple of threads about Behringer and it's
pratices.
I'v mentioned a few times that I was in the process of purchasing a Carvin
PA and a Behringer mixer. The 2442FX arrived yesterday.
When I ordered it from MF they asked if I wanted to purchase thier extended
warrenty coverage because, sometimes, You cant return a product to the
manufacturer without first getting in touch with the reseller. I got the
extrat coverage. Turned out to be a good move because they state plainly in
thier docs that you should try to return it where you bought it before
trying yto get Behringer to fix the problem.
All that makes sense to me. I mean not every problem is the responsibility
of the manufacturer and they can use the store that sold it to weed out the
petty problems and send only the equipment that needs manufacturer
attention.
My PA will be here next week. Hopefully before the holiday.
Now I have to find a good source for a ass load of patch cables. I don't
have but a few mic cables and my one guitar cable, so I'm in a fix to get to
know the four sub groups and how to work all of the sends and returns.
I will be using this piece of equipment for the recording studio mainly,
with a few talent shows and community events that folks can plug into and
preform, thrown in.
Does anyone have a bunch of patch cables, snakes and cords they have little
need or value for? Got a reasonable price in mind for them? (remember I aint
one of those rich kids- just a dirt poor peasant with a gift). Contact me if
you do , or know of a place that has good quality cables at an afordable
price.

Dunno how contract law works where you are, but here in the UK, if I
buy something from a dealer, my contract is with that dealer. I have
no contract with the manufacturer (the dealer does). So if something
is wrong with the item I have bought, I go back to the dealer I bought
it from. How could it be otherwise?
