It's not a house, it's a basement in an industrial building.
What would qualify as "wired to take heavy loads"?
Dunno, is the main service three phase
I share a huge fuse at the power entry with the first floor. I'll
have to look at the rating.
Are there two or three big fuses in the disconnect? What is the voltage
from each of those fuses to ground?
It's a bit tough to follow. Excluding the breaker boxes, there are at
least 5 big boxes (locked or screwed shut) that are fed in various
ways from the power entry. In the panel that feeds my breaker box
there are two big fuses each about the size of a roll of quarters.
I do get a couple volts of drop between the outlets in the vestibule
and the one on the same breaker in my space, which may point to my
wiring.
What voltages do you have coming INTO your main breaker, what gauge
wire is it, what is the current rating on it, and is it a two or three
gang breaker?
With both dehumidfiers running.
112 Volts from ground to the fuses at the power entry.
107 at the first outlet on the circuit.
101 at the first outlet in my space.
98 Volts at the other end of a 50ft 12 gauge extension cord.
What's the best way to determine if the problem is the load from the
first floor, or crappy wiring on my end of things?
If the voltage at the front of the panel is good, but the voltage at
the outlet is bad, it's in the panel or below. If the voltage at the
panel is bad but the voltage at the fuse in the disconnect is good,
it's the wiring between panels. If the fuses in the disconnect have
not been pulled out and cleaned in the past decade it might be a good
thing to do.

Thanks Scott.
Looks like time to get an electrician.
