have overseen the installation of several Faraday cages in studios in London.
I've been involved in site surveying for one of them recently in fact. Amongst
other things we used a guitar pickup to see what the ambient field is like. This
one had a lot of magnetic field from railway signalling currents (there's a line
at the back) around 400Hz and 2 kHz IIRC (as well as the usual power line
related frequencies).
Just ensure that fitting a Faraday cage is done whilst you're working on a shell
of a building though!
