I have a Mackie mixer, too, but mine isn't shitty like yours is. I
wonder what is the difference?

Mine came with a manual, which is handy for figuring out aux sends and
returns and gain staging and stuff like that. If yours came without a
manual, through the wonders of the Internet thing you might be able to
locate and download it, heck, maybe even read it. No telling what-all
you might learn that way.
