Probably the best thing is to remove the HF driver, disconnect it, and
connect another speaker to the wires that went to the original driver.
It doesn't matter what speaker you use as long as it isn't a powered
speaker. You just want to hear if anything is getting to the speaker.

Chances are it is, because drivers rarely get damaged in shipment to
the extent that they don't work, unless a wire comes off a terminal,
which you'll see immediately when you open it up. If there's a separate
power amplifier for the HF section, that's probably where the problem
lies.

Sure seems like a lot of folks are getting non-working equipment. Where
does it all come from?
