There is a plug that is an in/out on both channels and that is what was
throughing me off as to how it would be to run ballanced cables. I
think that I need to take a Y and go from stereo out to mono send and
mono return. I'm thinking that I might get a loop otherwise.

Those little things sound great but they are set up to be so simple
that they are not:-)

Are we getting confused about the RNC's send/return on a 1/4" TRS jack
(not "plug")? I wouldn't take that route to hook it to a patchbay; I'd
just use the dedicated input and output. Either way, it's an unbalanced
connection.
