I'll get shot down in flames for suggesting this, but before you spend
money or get complicated take a dynamic mic, wrap it in a piece of
foam and stuff it in one of those round holes in the metal frame,
toward the pointed end of the piano. It may sound crap. But it may
be surprisingly acceptable.
