Can't say for sure if this is true, but you must admit computers have
lots of potential noise sources.
This is true, but it's pretty amazing how well the manufacturers of
good internal sound cards have dealt with it. The DAL CardD is probably
the granddaddy of good quality internal cards and compuiter noise is
simply not an issue. But it's a good marketing ploy because to those
who have only experienced poorly designed sound cards, getting the
audio circuitry outside the computer case seems like an obviousl
improvement. However you have to know what's what - some that look like
they have the 'sensitive' part outside the computer really have nothing
but connectors in the breakout box. No great help there.
