I use an Epson Stylus Photo 900. I am very impressed with the CD
printing quality but it is slow. Definitely not for runs of over 10
discs, IMO! (Each disk must be manually loaded in, probably the same
with all these kinds of printers). I use generic ink carts so I don't
bother with refilling or resetting chips. Some generics suck, some are
OK. It's always a crapshoot but the costs are so much less I put up
with it.
The other thing is that the printer came with a program to do CD
printing. AFAIK you had to use this program since it was set up for how
the CD was aligned in the printer. I used PShop to design, printed to a
JPEG (or PDF; it's been a while!), then imported. Worked fine, just
another extra step.
Bottom line, your CDs or DVDs can look real nice but it'll definitely
cost you time.
