Yes. And connect it to Line In of your soundcard, not Mic In.
If you're going into multi-microphone recording seriously, this might
be the right time to ditch the Creative soundcard (which is a
top-of-the-range consumer toy) in favour of a multi-channel card.
There's a wide choice available, some with microphone preamps
included, avoiding the need for a separate mixer. Here's one place to
